Lulu Pink: A "Saintsational" Book Signing Weekend

It's hard to believe that another weekend has almost come and gone- much too quickly if I do say so myself! While this weekend was one of the first "free" weekends post LSU football season, it was far from uneventful. As many of you know, my multi-talented sister-in-law Ricci Broussard Hebert is the author of a delightful children's book entitled "A Saintsational Swamp Adventure". The book commemorates the New Orleans Saints Superbowl win from the animals point of view. The names of the characters are probably my favorite-traditional Louisiana (Amos the alligator, T-Claude the crawfish, Roux the raccoon, Telee the turtle, among others) but the illustrations are out of this world. Ricci made her way to Baton Rouge for a whirlwind of book signings and of course, I snapped some photos to share along the way.

Friday night we gathered the entire Broussard clan together for dinner, my in-laws Jim & Gail, Ricci and her 2 children Jacques & Julianne, and of course Brian & I. I should've had someone take a group picture at the restaurant but I failed to do so. I did however manage to squeak out a quickie of Julianne, Lucy & I afterwards following our ice-cream sundae party at my house. That child is a shrunken version of myself, don't you think?

Saturday, Brian and I headed to Chuck-E-Cheese with Jacques and Julianne along with my in-laws while Ricci began the first of 4 book signings. God love my in-laws for thinking they would survive alone with the kids at Chuck-E-Cheese. Brian and I were quite excited to provide backup and an excuse for a little ski ball competition.
